My dear child,

The previous years have been quite a roller-coaster ride for you.

The past decade had seen both breakings and breakthroughs, joy and pain, failure and success. I have seen your struggles—how you tried so hard to walk by faith and how you faced every challenge that comes your way.

I want you to know that none of your experiences is wasted. I am using both the good and bad experiences to shape you into the person I created you to be. I have kept your tears in a bottle, for they are precious to me (Psalm 56:8).

I was there when you thought of giving up. You thought there was no one to support you, no one who believed in you. But, My child, I was there, quietly cheering you on and guiding you by My hand. I gave you strength in your moment of weakness. Didn’t I promise not to leave you nor forsake you? (Deuteronomy 31:6)

My child, when you felt unlovable and you were drowning in shame, that was when I was lavishing My love on you. For I formed you in the womb, and I saw you even before your parents first laid eyes on you (Psalm 139:13). Even before you were born, I set you apart for Me and I decided to love you for the rest of eternity. You are Mine, and nothing will ever separate you from My love (Romans 8:39).

As you face another decade, I want you to know that I am Your Abba Father. I will protect you, take care of you, and love you no matter what happens.

I am the God who makes all things new.

This year is a gift from Me to you. I am doing a new thing in your life. Prepare to be amazed, for I will exceed the past victories of the previous decade. Wait and you’ll see that I can do so much more.

My child, don’t get stuck with the ghosts of the past. Your past failures and yesterday’s mess will never ever nullify My purpose for your life. My purpose stands, and I will accomplish what I have planned for your life (Isaiah 46:10). Bury the past with all its troubles and pains. Move on and receive healing for your heart. I am willing and able to heal even the deepest of hurts. I will mend your brokenness. My desire is for you to experience My shalom, wholeness and completeness, as you come to Me and rest in Me.

Always remember this, My child: My steadfast love for you never ceases and My mercies are endless. They are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23). You may have fallen in the past, but each waking moment of your life will be met with new mercies. Keep holding on to My grace, for it is sufficient for you; it is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I will put a new song in your mouth, replacing the cries of your broken heart (Psalm 40:3). Your life will resonate with a new song, a song of gratitude and triumph.

As you run the race that I set for you, fix your eyes on Me (Hebrews 12:2). I will give you new strength so you won’t have to run using yesterday’s energy. I am the God who gives new strength so you can soar high on eagles’ wings, high above the storms of life.

I am the God of new things.

Turn the page and start anew.

I am changing the world through you. Though you walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will be with you. You will never walk alone.

I love you with a love that lasts forever (Jeremiah 31:3). Even in this new year, I am still God. I am the Alpha and Omega—Beginning and End, for all eternity.
